Rules for spare cash, and drawing on savings

After tax and living costs, most years leave money over. Your rules say where it goes, in order: the offset account, extra loan repayments, super, shares, or a savings account. Each rule can have a limit (fill it up to an amount, or put in so much a year) and a condition, such as only until you retire.

Drag the rules to change their order. What a rule doesn’t take passes to the next; anything left at the end stays in cash.

The drawdown order

A year that costs more than it earns is paid for from savings, in the drawdown order: which account first, and how far each may be drawn down. Super can only be drawn once its owner reaches preservation age and retires.

Comparing two versions of the plan that differ only in these rules is a quick way to see what the order changes. That is Compare, on Plus.
