Everything you need to see your runway

Runway projects your household’s money year by year, with Australia’s real tax, super and stamp duty rules, and tells you the year you can afford what you’re aiming for.

See where you stand, every year

One chart from this year to the end of the plan, and every figure behind it.

Every year, on one chart

Net position, assets, debt, income and expenses, cash flow, super against everything outside it, and what you could get your hands on. One bar a year, to the end of the plan.

Open any year

Its balances, what came in and went out grouped by the property, person or spending it belongs to, and what changed from the year before.

The year the money runs short

If it does, you see it straight away: the first short year, your age then and how much isn’t covered, with the order savings are drawn on to fix it.

Today’s dollars

Every figure in today’s money by default, so $2 million in 2050 reads as what it will buy. One switch shows the actual dollars.

For one or two people

A couple’s plan keeps each person’s income, super and tax apart, and the chart shows the household.

Tax, person by personPlus

Tax paid each year and what it is made of, and each person’s workings: the income assessed, the brackets, offsets, Medicare levy and HELP, and the marginal and effective rate.

Plan the big moments

Give a goal a year, or ask for the first year it’s affordable.

Milestones that find their year

A home, an investment property, a car, a year off, retiring. Give it a date, or let Runway find the first year the money is there and the plan still pays its way after. Free plans hold three.

What a property costs up front

The price in the year you buy, stamp duty, fees and mortgage insurance, what your cash accounts hold as that year opens, and the home loan it needs, whether you buy this year or in ten.

Stamp duty for your statePlus

Duty, lenders mortgage insurance and fees calculated for the property’s state and price, and itemised. Free plans estimate it or take the figure you type in.

Plan my property purchasesPlus

Say the passive income you want. Runway lays out each purchase in the first year the money is there, and where each deposit comes from.

Retirement, worked out

The year your investments reach 25 times a year’s spending, a multiple that’s yours to change, with super locked until preservation age and the Age Pension where you’d qualify.

Decide where the money goes

Your rules for spare cash, and a way to see what a different choice would do.

Rules for spare cash

Where extra money goes, in your order: fill the emergency fund, then the offset, extra repayments, super or shares.

The drawdown order

Which savings pay the bills when income doesn’t cover them, and in what order, so retirement draws on the right accounts first.

Compare two versionsPlus

Pay down the loan or top up super. Buy now or wait a year. The plan and a version with the change, as lines on one chart, and where each milestone lands.

Keep it on course

A plan you come back to, not one you make once.

Ask Runway

Describe your situation or a change in your own words, like “when can we buy in Brisbane for $900k?”, and it becomes a form for you to check. The sums are Runway’s, never the AI’s. Plus has a larger monthly allowance.

Your net worth over timePlus

Update your balances each month and watch your net worth climb, drawn against where the plan said you’d be.

Saved to your account

Your plan is kept in your account, stored in Australia, and opens the same on any device you sign in on. Free plans too.

Export and themesPlus

Every year’s figures as a CSV for your own spreadsheet or your adviser, a PDF to print, and colour themes, dark ones included.

Real rules, real rates

No rules of thumb and no flat percentages. A projection that leaves out $45,000 of stamp duty isn’t worth running.

Runway calculates each year’s tax, levies and duty the way the ATO and your state revenue office do, from the published brackets and thresholds. Every rate is taken from its official source, dated, and updated each July.

  • Income tax and the Medicare levy
  • Medicare levy surcharge
  • Super caps and preservation age
  • The CGT discount
  • Stamp duty and land tax, by state
  • HELP repayments
  • The Age Pension
